SR1 C.O.O.L.™ Zone Scott County Scholar Accepted To Mississippi State University for Fall 2026 Semester

Forest, MS – A Forest High School senior will be packing her bags and heading to Mississippi State University to begin her college career next fall.
SR1 C.O.O.L.™ Zone Scholar Katelyn Phillips announced Friday, September 12, during the Forest High School Homecoming game that she plans to attend the university located in Starkville, Mississippi after being accepted to the university.
Phillips said she plans to major in pre-med while attending MSU.
Phillips also served on the 2025-2026 Forest High School Homecoming Court as a senior maid.
Katelyn’s achievement is a testament to her hard work, determination, and involvement in SR1 programs, including:
